I just purchased a IH / Farmall. I think it is a 1950. Can anyone tell me what model I have. On the plate is #58323. Then the #1815. I want to buy some parts and I need the paint code. Thanks Michael.

are you sure you don't have the serial # from the engine-- the plate on the H is on the bell housing and should say H on the A it is under the seat on the side of the battery box etc and should have the model on it also do you mean farmall or international there's a difference in #s but even on the M the md # should be on the plate-- what size tractor is it or what size tires does it have give me something to start with and I can tell you the year and model

You need to get a lottle more info from the # plate. Many models have that serial number so you need to get the prefix info.
Look on the left side of this page under the research topic & check the serial # page.
#1815 refers to the maximum engine RPM.
Last suggestion is to post your Farmall questions on the Farmall forum for quicker access to info.
Check the Tractor Photospage for pictures if you are still puzzled.
Good luck with your tractor.
