Guess it never ends,

Iron man is coming to clean up a neighbor's old iron and I just couldn't let the old F-10 loader like this one along with it's three heads go to China.

Heck, I don't even have a tractor to put it on, but just couldn't let 'em cut it up 'cause they just aren't makin' 'em anymore. :>(

Allan if that truck is a 60" I could sure use the left door.
I have a 65 C-60 with a well ventilated left door.

Hey Allan, looks like there is another old truck for you to rescue. Looks like it's sporting stock racks. Better jump on that one, haul hay and them 4 legged critters called hay burners.

Looks like a Chevy, maybe a 60's vintage??

Hi Allan What about the tractors? I hope they are not going to the iron pile. If they are let me know I could use another project.

I have bucked alot of hay with one of those sweethearts. It was the only loader you could load a big spreader with in two scoops!

Dad built an arch to rest the front on and had big blocks and cribbing under the rear and only four 3/4" bolts and it was on or off. Just back into it or drive out from under it. Had it under a SMTA Diesel with some big rubber and the tractor filled out the loader frame real well. We originally had the loader under a wf H farmall that got the job done but barely.

Allan just saw a simliar type loader at auction site to be sold tomorrow.
First one of that type I've seen in my area.
Its been repainted and is green and orange same as New Idea colors.
What brand might it be.

Farmhand made 'em back when farmers had to stack hay. I think this model came out around '53 or so.

Lady was asking $100 for it, but I gave a little extra so that they would pull all those heads out of the condem pile too.

Farmhand now made by AGCO.
I have seen them in red main color or green in the later years.

The one I bought is off the tractor and setting in the weeds. Has the sweep head, material fork with grapple and an 8' bucket.

Story goes that the fellow's dad laid 'er over on her side with a big round bale. Didn't hurt anything, but they yanked it off the tractor so that the guy wouldn't have any further opporunity to hurt himself. :>)

Yeah,

That rotary valve is there along with the little slow release valve. The push-off valve is gone tho so I'd have to rig something up fer that.

Also, they had it mounted on the front of an old MM U, so the tank and pump were mounted in front of the radiator on that old tractor so that it would have live power.

He told me that they would take it off and throw it into the mix tho.

And, if I ever find a tractor to put it on, I'll have to build some belly irons. :>(

Looks like out there Allan you'd have to fall off the barn with one to find a hill steep enough to roll one over, but let me tell you, you can do it with an H in the cornpatch of Iowa. I was about 14 and full of myself and man, that took me down about 7 pegs. Especially when we had to go to the neighbor's to borrow another tractor to set it back up with. Ya don't turn them things with that big ole bucket up in the air on a sidling hill with a bitty ole H. Harley

We had one of those loaders on a F-20. I was sweeping small square bales and my dad and uncle were stacking. Had load heading for stack raising as I got closer to stack, head cleared and pushed in the clutch and rear wheel came off ground and was going over. I hit the wobble stick, dropped sweephead on pile and wheel came back down. That will put skid marks in your shorts, finished stacking from end of pile on level ground. This was in the 50's east of Albion Ne.

Larry, Albion is another place you can't get to from here too. Went through there and Newman Grove once a week for about 4 years from '70 to '74 driving the route freight truck out of Omaha for double circle CO-OP. Things are so spread out out there that every farm has their own tomcat and you know how far a tomcat will go. Harley

Ya Larry, I have stayed in the basements or spare bedrooms of more than one manager out there from Humphrey, Newman Grove, Albion, Neligh, O'Neill. Get caught in one of them famous Nebraska Northers with the wind blowing about 87 miles an hour and whiteout conditions and ya ain't goin nowhere. Sure don't miss that part of it a bit. Harley

I grew up around Newman, school and all, you probably knew Dave that drove for the coop back then. Winters could get rough around there. I left in 72. Lots of water gone under the bridge since then. Tomcats are spread out now since so many farm buildings have been eliminated.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading in the owner's manual that ya should never, ever, under any circumstances, put up hay in small square bales.

Ha!

We had one settin on a Ferguson 30. Never upset it but did a Larry-tx a couple of times. Then had one on a Cockshutt 30 just for stacking loose hay. My little brother had it go over because a pin or bolt broke. He didnt get hurt any. Got a Northern tool catalogue. Might could be compared to Surplus Center. Hyd. pumps and control valves and stuff.
