I posted before that i ran a john deere A without oil pressure and it stopped and now it is stuck. I am not a person to part out a tractor so what would i need new to fix it? I bought the tractor to restore so im not worried about taking it all apart to save it. Would a engine kit be all that i need? thanks in advance

I had one about 40 years ago that had water in the crankcase, froze, broke the little square tube
joint when I started it. Engine siezed. I fixed the oil pump drive, took the head off, freed the pistons, slopped oil in the cylinders, started it up and used it for several years before I sold it.

First you need to check to see why it seized and what it destroyed. You may get away without too much cost, but..... . until you know what is actually ruined, no one can really say accurately from a distance. We are guessing. But I will say it will cost a lot more than that oil, which should have been going round the engine! Did it stop, and then tightened up later, or did it stop by seizing up the engine while trying to keep running?

An major rebuild kit and machine work on the block and have the crankshaft reground, unless it got too hot , in that case you will need another crank. Also a new oil pump or rebuilt.

you will more than likely need to have the crankshaft turned or possibly replaced. Also, camshaft bearings don't generally come in a rebuild kit. the block should be vatted so all particles of metal will be removed thoroughly. If any metal shavings are left in the block you will have wasted all of your time and money. then there is the rocker arms that might be ruined from lack of lubrication.
