I would like to take the time to thank each and everyone of you who has taken the time to respond and put up with my questions and sometimes crazy logic (see the Forum of Controversies) that has helped me get to this point. The photo below is me in front of my MF 135 that almost went to the scrappers and was my dad's tractor before he passed and now its my tractor. After two years of nagging and some time at the shop, my tractor has come home today (the 9th). It might not look pretty right now, but I look forward to sharing a picture of my tractor that even the "Correct Police" can be proud of with her in her new Sunday best.

There is nothing quite like old iron. Especially with sound advice along the way. Thank you all again so much.

Enjoy,

Christos

Judging by the pictures, you have a good foundation to build from. It looks like a complete, straight, solid tractor. I'm a big fan of the 135's and 150's Massey churned out in the 1960's and 70's. They are quite a package. Is yours an 8 speed or 6 (+ multi-power?) I'm about 95% done restoring a 1971 MF 150 myself. It's far enough along to start using it. I got to plow a little over 8 acres with it last saturday. It's been almost 30 years since I got to plow with the 150 dad had. I can only imagine how proud you must be to have your fathers tractor. As a father myself, I can also imagine how proud your father would be to see you taking such interest in something he owned.

Congratulations!

Its a 6 Speed Deluxe (1967) w/o Multipower. Yeah still working on the plow - its either going to be a MF 72 or Ford 101.

Someone below mentioned the frustration aspect - yeah its been an interesting journey - all over western Ohio to get parts for it (like a new for me block for the Z145) Engine. I count my blessings I found the Horse Whisperers of Tractors for Mechanics and a Massey-Ferguson Dealership thats worth it weight in gold .

That's great news. I have a 135 with the Continental engine and used it most of the day yesterday. It's a great machine and you will get long hours of enjoyment (and some moments of frustration) out of the old tractor. I wish you the best.

Congrats! Nice lookin' machine! The Massey 135 is the absolute best tractor in the 35-40 HP range ever built anywhere by anyone and at any time and you are to be congratulated on having it in your shed and keeping it in the family. You don't find many Massies like that for sale because everyone who has one wants to keep it.
