I have been out of pocket(computerwise) for a few days. I was heart broken when I found out the wife's IH Metro Van was too wide for either of my equipment trailers. So I made the sanctioned purchase of a new 20' equipment trailer. The specs are as follows 6" inch channel frame, 18' flat 2' dovetail, hinged 3" channel ramps with support foot, 2-6000# axles both with brakes, 83" between fenders, 12000# Bulldog coupler and diamond plate fenders etc... A month ago there was an extended discussion about why I needed the trailers I already have (wife has no farming background) now the things have come full circle. I think I will find her another toy in about 3 years and play that new truck card she offered in the first round of negotiations. There is one catch, I have to pay for all the toys her's or mine. one fellow posted about having used a Metro Mite, hers it the full size Metro 6'10 wide and 17' long with a heavy 3/4 ton or single rear wheel 1 ton chasis with 17-1/2 inch wheels. I already have plans for it to sport a 51' Super C on special occasions when both are restored. For the record I am Very Glad that the Mrs. chose the IH over a Suburban or Minnie Winnie. She wanted a Sprinter for a while, but I explained that a base model would consume several year's toy budget.
