Got tired of looking at the spagetti mess that was my wire system in the 661 Ford and so decided to get all the electrics working. I need a couple of small 6 volt light bulbs, bayonet style. The old bulbs are so corroded that I cant get any markings from them. I only have the originals to match. One is for the generator charge indicator light, the other is for a the dash illumination stalk. Went to the New Holland dealer and they didn"t have anything in stock to compare. I could have ordered something in the catalog that kinda looks like it would fit but would have been stuck with a 10 pack for more than I wanted to spend. Anyone run across this problem before? Help

Thanks guys. I will try Radio shack and a couple other local places. The auto parts stores I tried didn't have them. They weren't the good old fashion types though.

NAPA probably or maybe Radio Shack. I just know I found them and didn't have much problem. Don't remember where but I bet it was one of those places.

In my town we have one of those old style auto parts stores where you take your old part in, show it to them and they go in the back and bring out a new one. That's how I got a small 6V bulb for my instrument light on my 850. I want to say that it was a GE #51 but I can't be sure of that. If you have a good auto parts store with knowledgeable people manning the counter you might try that. Or ask them to show you a GE #51 and see if it looks like the right one.
