In 1961 I built a stereo amp. from a kit. Electronic instrument co. of America I beleive .I E Co. Also got a record changer. This was tube type of course. Hole thing was $161 I think. Had to finance it. Grin. Anyhow my fist album was Chet and had to play it over and over to get all the bugs out of the amp. I could't afford another record. Still got it too. Boy talk about music getting burned into your head. About like someone said about the Green acres Song. cheers, DAN

Fellow by the name of Doyle Dykes can really make a guitar talk. His CDs are kinda hard to find, you might have to ask for them.

Fellow, I sure cant play it but can listen with the best of them. Ive not heard any similar sounding pickers lately who pluck the bass with their thumbs on the bass strings and pick melody up on the higher ones (didnt Mother Maybelle kinda start all that???) but have been curious lookin for others. I doubt any knock offs who try to pick like him would go anywhere as he was one of a kind and theres not that much demand for what he was able to do anymore. I love the song he wrote and sang about his dad. I saw him play Wildwood Flower on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry and heard Roy Acuff sing Wabash Cannonball there so I guess Im complete now lol

My wife played in a community orchestra when he was a guest performer one time. He was very nice, all the musicians liked him.

My Dad was a fan way back when and used to play his songs all the time. Dad was a hell of a self taught picker. He never could read music but if he listened to a song he could play it amazingly well.

Jimont, ya beat me to it. We have a celeb right here on YT. Allan, among his other many talents is also a musician and the way I understand it works his music in through his puters somehow too. My little brother does that with gospel music for his church using a ??midi program?? or some such thing on his puter. Way beyond me. Harley
