As every one has said, limited parts availability, and, if you do find what you need, big $$$ For $6000 you can find a nice Ford 3 cyl. { 2000, 3000, etc} more power, more reliable, and cheaper to fix. I have had both, and you can't beat the 70's era Fords. Dave

My father-in-law has one of these units. His other son-in-law bought it new ~1982. No real problems with the unit, but I have to agree with all of the earlier posts. The parts supply is very limited. It is a small unit with little if any hydraulic capability. If you want it to do some light 3pt work and brush cutting it will be OK, but that is about the limit. No FEL. No remote hydraulic applications.

If you go to tractor data.com the ford 1900 sold for $8356. in 1982 pto hp 26.5 IMHO I would not pay $6000. for it in 2006. But ive been wrong befor.

I"d try to find something newer. ISM, the company that made these for Ford and continues to make them for CNH, is wanting to supply less and less parts for these. Few parts are supplied now. I"d at least try to find something a little bit newer. Not that a tractor of that age is a bad thing, but the future isn"t that bright for parts for it.

They have an older engine style, older front hubs, and smaller hyd pump than current models. Parts are a little harder to get if you need a major item. Nice tractors tho, sounds like a good starting price for all. Just shy of 30hp pto I believe.
