Howdy neighbors,

My little boy scout troop is planning a trip from Houston to Florida this summer and we need a place to spend the night some where off Interstate 10 about ten hours from Houston.
We are not picky, any place like a barn floor or hay loft or???? We just want to drive in at night, crawl in sleeping bags and head out in the morning. If you can help us out, please email me.
Thanks, Duane

PS. I may want to check out your collection while where there.

Like the others have said, wished I could help you out, but I think Kansas is a little too far north. Who is the sponser of your troop? Our troop is sponsered by the Methodist Church. When we went to Colorado, we made arrangements with a Methodist Church in Garden City to lay over for the night, both going out and coming home. Maybe your sponser's organization has a branch/chapter/ect. in that area that you could contact. It's a thought.

Also liked the comment of making a network of folks willing to allow stopovers at their place. Other non tractor sites that I frequent have a list of membership and whether they are willing to board folks passing through. Would be able to meet some good people that are of like mind as well as saving a few bucks on hotel or camper hookup fees.

You would be welcome here but I'm up in Missouri so I guess I'm to far north. Shoot I even have a cave they could camp out in just like the indians did years ago

Duane, can't help you out of Houston, but if you need a place to stay in North Florida, (20 miles south of Tallahassee), let me know.

My "collection" only consists of 1 Farmall 460 widefront, but you're welcome to spend the night!

Sorry I dont have a site to offer you Duane, im a northern. But you touch on something i have thought about. A network of places to lay over on ones journey throughout the states. I have enough acres to alow a family to stopover. With the higher cost of fuel, a network of waysides would be nice and fun, achance to make new friends etc.Hey WALMART does it.Well food for thought anyway. good luck
