At work we are having a employee auction and there is a 8 foot Kelley brush hog in very good condition on the auction. You guys think this would be about a $1000 brush hog?

Thanks guys. For what it is worth I am going to bid a lot less than that $1000 guess value.

Seems like most times around here you can figure that a brush hog that's got any life left at all will bring 100 dollars a foot. Once in a while you'll run on to an exception. I got an MF 6 footer a few years ago that looked like a scrap pile reject but had a good drive train, gave $65. for it. Then I've seen the occassional one with a fresh Krylon overhaul go for more than new price. You just can't always figure how some other feller is going to spend his money.

I'm no expert, but I've been looking for a five footer for several weeks in the YT ads and E-Bay, etc. For an 8 footer, if in good shape, I'd say $800--$900 sounds pretty reasonable. I've been trying to find a 5 footer in fairly good shape for $400 or less--no luck.

Sold a 6 footer last spring wiht new blades and stump jumper for $800 at the local auction. I was hoping for five so I was elated.

Good Luck,
Josh
