I was wondering what anyones thoughts were on a Farmall 826 GAS HYDRO. According to the archives there was only 68 of these tractors ever made. This tractor has 3556 actual hours, 2 pt and narrow front. As far as condition, this tractor is excellet. It still has original paint and looks very good. Any thoughts about this tractor?

Well went to that sell with the 826 thinking that is was the one my grandpa bought new and it was not but I had thought to myself where you goin to get an other one back. So i was going to give $13000, and it had went over that. Then I looked more into it and grandpas tractor was in the area(the 826 gas), so I called the man and he told me that he would sell it. Then, we had a deal made in away and then the man went to look for a new tractor to replace the 826 and some people told him what the one up on the sale brought, so know I am not sure what is goin to happen to grandpas 826. I told the man no hard feelings but I can not give him that kind of money, so I may lose the tractor. So I have a question for everyone out there what are they worth the one on the sell was in A1 shape and excellent original and needed nothing but a new owner, and grandpas need some tlc.

....Up until 1999 there was an 826 Farmall gas Hydro in this area. It was equipped with the Custom cab, and the 2000 loader. The tractor was used on a vegetable farm, and was the prime mover. The cab was purchased as the farmer did snow. Apparently was a VERY thirsty rig, about 6 hours of snow per tank of gas. This tractor had the 301 sleeveless mill, turning at 2500+ RPM. I would guess about 2500 to 3000 hours per overhaul. When it was traded for a DIESEL ( wonder why???? ), the tractor brought $2200 at a dealer auction, not running, and the auctioneer said that the Hydro also needed work..... ..Just do not pay too much, nor expect to have too much free money to buy beer after quenching it's thirst, but as long as you have compression and gasoline, watchout!!!!! !!!...QR..
