Bob,

Here's how I handle that problem; I just plain put my foot down and refuse. A man has got to be a man, ya know!

(Instead, I end up cleaning the toliets). :>(

I like computers, but wouldn't trade my cows for a desk job any day of the week. Some day my back or my knees may tell me different. I'm thankful everyday I can go out and milk, feed and scrape.

Now wait a minute,

It's more stressful than it appears. When I go to work in the morning, I have to walk the whole 35 feet to my desk.

And moreover, it's really a chore trying to decide whether to put my socks on 'er not.

So you see, it's true. My life is just one long horrid grind. :>)

i understand, you've paid your dues years ago and deserve a warm house and coffee. the young buck that i am i got alot of years to catch up. besides, you can have all them computers. i just got one to worry about here at the dealer. i'd rather be doing chores at 5:30 in the morning anyways then staring at a screen, keeps my secretary spread in check!

Allan, shouldn"t you be out there feeding cattle or checking water tanks? Checking the battery chargers on them red tractors? Or at least cutting firewood, one does not live by computers alone! So, you"re inside keeping warm til the sun comes up, eh? Well, take "er easy, John in far eastern Nebr.

John,

All in good time. Then at that point, if I can't get the wife won't go out and do it, 'spose I'll have to "lower" myself to bundle up and go outside.

But darnit, it's nasty out there! :>)

Coloken,

Mine has been in since May of 2003. Just had my 6 month check up on my ICD.
Gas gauge check 90% yet on Battery life. So I must be doing something right. I was told they only last 4 to 5 years that if they don"t get used. My neighbor had one and was telling me he keep hearing a faint beeping noise coming from his chest area. His wife said she couldn"t hear any beeping noises. Come to find out later it was coming from the ICD. The battery was low and was needing a complete implant for a new one. I about fell over when he told the cost for this. "$30,000."
Should have a life time warranty for that price!

Hope everything checked out ok for you today?
Take Care!
Mike

Hey buddy, we finally got about 4 inches of snow down here too, but it'll be gone in a day or so. 38 now and supposed to be in the 50's the next three days. I can only guess what your temp. is and with the wind chill.

Guys, Allan is downplaying his computer playing a quite a bit. Due to his job, he is literally glued to that thing day and night, he and the missus both, and IT POSITIVELY CANNOT GO DOWN or heads will roll. I'm sure glad I don't have that kind of pressure in my semi' older age. I do pressure well, but not from people telling me what to do and when to do it. My aunt does somewhat the same thing and she is constantly stressed out. Hope you get an early spring so you can finally "get a crop in" after about two years of getting ready. I know it'll be fun. Harley
