Need a blue book for tractors

I have a credit union member who wants a loan on a tractor. What is the most generally accepted publication for used tractor values? Is there a website that has information on used tractors similar to what Edmunds, Kelley Blue Book, Mannheim, and NADA has for cars?

Specifically I need a value for a Case 2290, probably a 1982. But I'd like to know where to go for values in the future. Thanks!

Jim, I have a 2006 hotline guide. 1982 case 2290 two wheel drive retail value 9856. and est. loan value 7392. However I doubt one could be bought for that in the west except some where that there is not a dealer.

I forgot to ad that the price new that is listed would be close to the value currently if in good condition.

Someone who works for a dealership could tell you what they use. I just got a publication that comes out yearly called the the Official Tractor Blue Book(a Primedia publication)and it lists the 1982 Case 2290 at $11400 high, and $9830 average. It lists the trade in as $5900 high, $3930 average. The 2290 with PS is listed at $11660(H), $10050 (A)and trade in as $6030(H) $4020(A). The Case 2290 PS 4WD is $12180 (H), 10500 (A) and trade in $6300 (H), $4200 (A).

Some mark up between trade in and retail, huh! hope this helps you.

My 2004 Hot Line book lists a 2wd 2290, 1982 retail price of $11,675, with a est loan value of $8,756. Latest book I have, typically get one every 2-3 years.

Hot Line is good, they have a web site with info but you pay to get it I believe, the reference books are great. They have split them up back in 2003 or so, without telling me. Compacts & vintage machines have their own books now, not all in one any more.
