At our show we give the contestant a 3 minute time limit to try and balance the teeter totter. So you will need 2 stop watches. Once both ends are off the ground we start the other watch. Person who holds both ends off the ground the longest-wins. Our beam is hard to balance--seems like once all the fluids start to move you can't stop it regardless of how much moving you do on the seat. {We require everyone to remain seated--no standing up} The smaller tractors do better.

Thanks for the input. Ares is actually pretty easy to do. I am thinking I average just under 5 seconds. The problem is where do we consider it to be a good run. Example if the board is off the ground a 1/4 inch is that good? Does the board have to be not moving or can be tilting back and fourth bbut not touching the ground?
