Yes Sir,

I wear those "Mickey Mouse" ears. Absolutely couldn't stand it otherwise. Those 400 series engines are just loud by default.

Place is laid out kinda nice. Every field has 1/2 mile runs.

Allan

I'll tell ya,

I'm just doing this fer the book-keeper's benefit. The farm, plow, tractor and the guy running it are all pretty much completely worn out.

There's truth in what they say, "You don't know what you've had until it's gone".

Think this is probably the happest I've ever been, just me, the dirt and that tractor out and away from everything. Sure is a good feeling and I'm have the time of my life. :>)

Dad just called today and some rolling hill ground in southwest Iowa, west of Treynor, sold for $3800.00 an acre. No way, no how, no time will that ever pay for itself. has to be for subdividing or something. Harley

Harley, that definately would have to be for sub-dividing. You just plain can"t hardly go west of Treynor anymore without running smack dab into Council Bluffs.

If that were in our area, that land would be snatched up so fast your head would spin. We've had offers up to $33,000 for our land so far, and by the time my brothers and I are ready to sell we'll probably get close to $40,000, if not more!!

I'll still need some land to play on though, looking at moving out a little bit farther, maybe my cousin's farm in a few years.
