Consignment sale yeaterday Hudson Co. 4 9N,s and one 8N. all painted up nice and ran good. Sold from 1300 to 1900. Some had a small blade with them. Guess the "City" farmwers that have been asking 3500 for them in the paper got tired of farming. Best buy, a 900 Case, no 3 point, but ready to go wheat farm, for 900. Best friend picked up a Ford 871 diesel, original paint, used very little, crying for a paint job, SOS working perfect, fires up on first turn over. For 2100. I going out later and see if he will let me play with it.

Almost went to the sale. Have a freind wanting a 8N ford to mow with but thought they would all go high. Guess I was wrong. Bought a tractor at the Gilcrest consignment sale about 4 weeks ago so the wife kind've frowns when I say sale.

Kenny,
You must be located somewhat close to me. I'm wondering if you have a line on a 5-6' disc for an 8N? I'm just north of Platteville.
Thanks,
David

Dave in CO. I have a small Ford 5 foot tandem disc that I will sell. It does not have wheels. It is in pretty good condition. Always thought about bringing it out west to the Cenntienal sale at Fort Collins. If you are interested we could make deal and I would help on delivery. I also have some other older manure spreaders and a dirt scoop for a ford and such to take to the sale. some day

let me know.

Kersey, but going a couple of miles East of Gilcrest to play this morning. I got a 5 foot 3pt, but want to keep it. Used, they bring close to Big-R new price. Did you make the sale? they had several smaller disks, but I missed seeing most of the stuff. Have to sit down most of time. that was me with the limp and cane. That was the most Godawfull sale i have ever seen with 3 auctioneers selling . They were just starting the cars and trucks at 5:30 when I left.

No, I didn't make the sale. I rarely go to auctions because the ones I do hit seem to bring higher prices than new.

I wanted to go to the auction but had to drive up to South Dakota to return my niece. If I would have known you would be there Ken, I would have made more of an effort, need to meet you one of these days...

Running 2-3 rings has it"s good sides...just need several people with radios or you miss out on what you want to see. Imagine how late they would have run with 1 ring?

A friend of mine got a Massey ground drive rake there reasonable. He said anything that needed more than 30 hp to pull was cheap...6 bottom semi-mount JD plow, $175, probably getting cut up today, rollover plows were in the $500 range (Allan should have been there, pick up some spares). He left before the tractors sold, good to know that the Fords sold reasonable, not insane like last year... Of course, any drill that said Van Brandt (with or without locked up feeders) he said was in the $800-1000 range...

Are you the Chad with the 2 W9s? We need to get this whole Colorado group together for a cup of coffee before one of these auctions. It was really hard keeping up with everything at that Hudson auction. I have never done so much running up and down the rows in my life. A lot of junk with some gems every now and then. I really wanted that New Holland swather cab, but was not willing to pay $175.

Yep, that's me. I take it you are the Curt that looked at them? Mom said you stopped by.

We'll all have to meet down at the Sod Buster, or the old Charlie D's when it re-opens, or someplace...
