I did my first discing job of the new year. It was a small job, but starts the money comming back in again. With the wife's kitchen remodel a lot of money sure has been going out. Glad to see the tracks and disc blades shiny again. Stan

Around here guys have been working ground for the last month. Saw a guy running a field cultivator Monday the 20th and the next day we had 9" of snow.

Same here we still have alot of snow here and with the temp only reaching mid 40s everyday it is going away very slow. We also have to wait for the frost to come out.

We've still got quite a bit of snow on the ground here, but I think we're about to turn the corner.

Calling for 68 degrees on Wednesday and I'm pretty sure I saw that old plow tractor wink at me yesterday. :>)

Hi Ya Glenn,

That's startin' to be a little bit of a sore spot. :>(

Really havin' trouble with the local red shop finding time to get it in. We talked about strapping the rear end of that burned-out 186 Hydro to my tractor, but so far, no call.

I have a funny feeling that the old tractor is gonna have to just whine thru another year and I'll end up doing the repair myself next winter.

I'll play it by ear, I guess, 'cause it is gettin' close to field time and I don't want it torn down when it should be blowin' black smoke.

I hear ya'. It seems like when I go back on service I've paid good money for, I get the, "if it's running, it's good enough" line. They try to make me out to be too fussy. Expecting a tractor to operate like new is not too much to ask. I never weighed in on your 'opinions wanted' question a while back, but I would fix what you have. No trading or swapping. You have done a top quality job so far. The end is in sight. That's a beautiful tractor you've got there. Glenn F.

Yeah,

That's probably what I'll do.

I'm picky too and want it "just like new". Guess I can drop in a ring gear and pinion just as easy as the next guy. Sure dread buying those silly parts tho. :>)
