Early Morning Question

Here's one for ya,

How do you tighten the throttle lever on an IH Hydro 70?

The "over-center" linkage spring on mine works to hold good while either at idle or wide open. At any position in between tho, it will slowly 'creep' back to idle over time.

There must be a friction clutch somewhere under the cowl, right?

Thanks,

Allan

Mornin Allan
I don't believe there is a tensioner on those.

Buttttt usually those things get so stiff your trying to figure a way to loosen them.

If I leave my tractors with that type of cable outside I have to oil it next time to free it up.

Now maybe if you squeeze the tube a little where the cable comes out it will tighten it up a little.

Otherwise if its like my 86 series I don't know.

Just wondering if theres anything on the shaft where it goes thru the pump?

Gary

I don't know anything about those tractors but see that you mention a pump so it makes me think you are talking deisel while Allan,s tractor is a gas. Am I correct?

By izzap's reply I take it the set up is differant than what I thought so disreguard my response.

I engaged fingers before I thought.
