I bought a 1100 gallon water wagon for the 4h center today. It has a 3.5 horse pump and i think it is capable of running a 2 inch line. Any ideas on how to get a 8 foot wide path of water so i can water the track for pulls and such. Thank you Charlie

4in pvc schedule 80 with 1/2in holes about every 4 in. It is plenty strong and easy to work with.
Cut it in the middle and put your tee there and reduce it down to a 2in quick coupler to run to the pump.
If its not the amount of water you want drill more holes.
Also angle the holes up just a little, seems to do a better job of spreading that way.
Ive used one like this for 11 years now and havebt had to do anything to it

cut a small slit in the side of the two inch pipe and cap it off. Slit should run about half way threw the 2 inch pipe. Use something like this to make a water curtain. Kinda like holding your fingure over the garden hose.

Water trucks we use have an 8" pipe for a drop, 4" cross pipes 8 ft long with inch and a quarter nipples 4" apart. Anything smaller you can drink it as fast as it comes out.

If the tank has an outlet that is low on it all you need to do is plumb a pipe off that and have holes drilled in it. I would use at the largest 1/8 bit. You wouldn't even need to use the pump that way. Thats how a lot of local road builder have a truck set up to keep the dust down when there building roads. Seen a good many of them since I usto drive a dump truck and got a lot of jobs working on the roads in this area. Only problem I ever saw was the time it takes to get rolling after turning on the valve always leave a puddle.

Pretty simple actually. All you need is a half or three-quarter inch pipe nipple with some sort of deflector welded to it. You may have to experiment a little, one nozzle should do it. If you want super duty watering 2 nozzles. A 3.5 hp pump is rated for inch and a half plumbing.

Sure; You've seen paving company water trucks, haven't you? You will need steel pipe because of vibration...short pipe out of the tank with either elbows or a tee (2inch) horizontal pipe is connected to the tee with 3/16th inch or 1/4 inch holes drilled in the bottom of the pipe, usually they are about eight feet wide or so ( the pipe that is) holes are usually about 3/4 to 1 inch apart (use your drill press and drill vice to accomplish this. Most of the tanks I've seen have a valve right near the tank as the pipe goes out to the tee so you can shut it on or off. Hope this helps and is'nt too simple for your needs. Jim
