Anyone out there know of a Massey supplier who might inventory parts for combines or a swather? We need the cylindrical shaped rubber bushings that fit each end of the pitman for the cutter bar. Gleaner parts might also be the same.

We have the orig Massey and new Agco part #'s, which are still in the price sheet, if we could only get somebody to sell us 3 of them, instead of telling us they can't unless they have a mega-dollar order so Agco will obtain them from the manufacturer directly.

Manufacturer? If I only had a lead there for outside sources of common dimensional industrial parts.

Help....Tom S.

Can you get your local agco dealer to do a search of other dealers in the USA and see if they have the parts anywhere else.

Thanks very much BigMarv. I called Mr. Jackson @ B&G Equip. here in Tn. who had capability "and willingness" to do exactly what you said.
Came back with 11 dealers names all across the nation who upload their inventories into the Agco part locator system, that showed this part #. I found the 3 I needed at a dealer in Nebraska.
It took about 10 minutes after a 3 week ordeal with another dealer and Agco.
This is how the system is supposed to work, if you can just find the folks willing to take time to use it to help their customers.
Thanks again; Tom S. in Tn.

Part #?

For what machine?

Dimensions?

Is it a rubber bushing surounded by a steel sleeve, with a steel sleeve inside, or simply all rubber?

These are round steel sleeve rubber bushings with a smaller sleeve inside for the bolt. Sorry, I do not have one out to measure, but they are about 1 1/4" od X 3/4" id X 2" long, and the ends are serrated.
Like I described in the earlier message I posted here, these are for the ends of the pitman on a model 44 Massey Ferguson swather.
The original Massey # is 143-015-M1
The new Agco # is PS 920-222 and they are listed for $10.14 ea.
Thanks; Tom S.

I have had no problem with Chattanooga Tractor ordering parts for my Massey. They have a running sheet everyday of parts they need to order anyway. They have ordered several small parts for me. I don't know where your at, but you might give them a call.

These #'s are what they call 'promotional' *!?!!*? in reply to Bill in TN, 03-23-2006 07:20:39
Plain 920-222 superceeded by a 'PROMOTIONAL'# PS920-222 which Agco claims comes directly from the manufacturer, whoever they are, and will not ship these #'s on a daily running order etc., without a huge ($$) request for them even though they are the current price sheet.
I have since this morning, found other ways to purchase Agco/Massey or other parts. (see above reply to BigMarv-I did not such a service existed until instructed and I reached out to a regional dealer) In calling around the 4 corners of the nation today, I was even able to find the elusive manufacturers name who I could have called directly; completly circumventing the Agco elepahant if I wanted.

I knew the answer had to be here on YT somewhere.
Thanks everyone; Tom S.
