I currenly baught a 1951 John Deere A. The motor is stuck so tight that we can't find anything to loosen it up. We tried everything, all of the old tricks, so, last resort, we started pulling the block out so we can manhandle it somemore. Anyway, I pulled off the block bolts, and the head is off. The block is ready to be taken out. But, do I need to separate the frame to get the block out or can I squeeze it out of the bottom of the frame? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

You can remove the block without removing the front end support from the maincase. There will be at least 4 bolts that hold the frame. The block will slide out and up the top. CalJim

I'm pretty sure they can be wrangled out without disassembly of the frame rails. Might want to move your question to the John Deere forum below - may get more responses.
