I HAVE A 47 CUB, SOMEONE HAS PUT A CADET TRANSMISSION ON IT, THE MAJOR PROBLEM BESIDES NO PTO SHUTOFF, IS MY GEARS ARE BACKWARDS. WHERE REVERSE IS SUPPOSE TO BE IS MY ONLY FORWARD GEAR, ALL OTHER THREE GEARS ARE DIFFERENT SPEEDS OF REVERSE... ANY SUGGESTIONS ON SHORT TIME FIX...

Cool! the quick fix is to just turn the cultivator shanks around and get used to looking over your left shoulder.

To get everything to rights you will have to jack the tractor up, pull both drop housings with the shafts that run into the transmission, remove the rear cover and the bearing caps that hold the ring gear and pinion carrier assembly.
Remove the ring gear/pinion carrier assembly and flip it over so that the ring gear is on the other side of the pinion shaft. this will reverse the rotation of the ring gear. You should probably check ring/pinion engagement at this point. Then reassemble everything.
