So why do we use copper to go from our 1000 gallon LP tank to the house?

| | Because your 1000 gal propane tank doesn't vibrate and work harden the copper, causing it to crack. Keith |

Don't use copper line or makeshift hoses. Check with your local propane dealer and they should have fittings and LPG hose to make them up or can order them for you.

Glenn has it right You must use a special hose for LP gas and special pipe joint compound for threaded fittings. LP will seep right through regular fuel lines

Fuel rated hose can be used but only with the correct fittings and crimp attachment. Has to be correctly pressure rated too.
