Would seem to me that if the fuel filter is changed on a regualar basis and has a water seporator in it then all should be fine. You could consider adding on a secondary filter, I know alot of people that use the racor secondary filtartion system...If filtration is not an issue then I would look into how often the fuel is turned over in your vehicle and also how often the fuel is turned over at the station that your purchasing your fuel from.

Hope this helps some what,

Kelly

Had a tractor freeze up not jell if its cold take the lid off if it has frost or water dropplets on it the it will have frost in the fuel. Also Add 1 quart of airline antifreeze for trucks to it and it won't hurt a thing. You won't have to for every tank but every 3rd or 4th has worked for us. These tractors pickups and trucks also return warm fuel to the tank that has cold fuel in so moisture will condense in the tanks. More on lots of short trips than long. Hope this helps It works for us . Mike

Well, I'd try Rusty's idea first. I pretty much use PS or Howes all year long and haven't had that much condensation ever. You buying from a place that has a low turn over of diesel? You got the only diesel they sell to?

Is one other thing that comes to mind. Wire the filler neck to about a 6 joule'r, and when you hear the wife's or girlfriend's ex screaming his guts out about 2 in the morning, you'll know that he'll be peeing his beer out in the tavern unrinal from then on. Just a thought.

Mark

I don't know, but when I went to the supply store and bought a disel tank for my first tractor, the guy told me never to fill the tank up in the fall because you get what they call "Summer Disel" and it has water in it. Why, I don't know .. . . that's what I was told.

I agree with Rusty. Years ago I picked up some gas at a station in town to get ready for a snow storm that was comeing in and wanted all my tractors fueled up so I could use them. The next day and the storm had come and gone. I went to start a tractor and it was a no go so I moved on to the next and then the next and all of them would not run. Checked the sediment bowls on them and each one had ice in them so no gas to the carb. I have never got gas there again.

Just a thought, maybe you should buy your fuel from another supplier.

Just a additional note. The problem is in the fuel on my one ton work truck.
