Dad's hay barn will never be used for hay storage again. I use part of it for a shop. It has a good roof, and good walls. The barn is high enough for another floor, with plenty of head room. Does any one have a shop with a second floor?, Is it handy or not? then there is the stairs, or is it just a place to store more junk. Stan

Oh yeah, I built a 2nd floor in one building. It is so full of fuel tanks and hoods that I can't get up there anymore.

2nd floor is great as long as you don't over load it. Saw that at a place I worked at once. We/they put to much stuff up there and it caved in. What was really bad was OSHA was in the building at the time and we had fun running them around to make sure they didn't see the bathroom ceiling that had just caved in.

I know one person with a Second Floor to his Shop and it is so full of stuff that nothing can be found, especially at the Stair landing to the Second Floor.

Yes a second floor is a great place to store more junk! Better than storing it on the first floor and taking up you floor space.
