Hi Guys,

Okay, now that we got the tractor hydro thingy all figured out and it's leak stopped up, I wanna start in on rebuilding the darned hay baler.

Sure hope I can squeeze that silly thing in thru the garage door. Might have to take the wheels off, let it down on the cement and back 'er in on the hubs. :>)

Allan

After the Haybine and Baler, all your equipment will be good to go. What project(s) will you have next winter? You could set up yor own Hydro repair shop.

John

Yeah,

Its going thru that right hand door; it just don't know it yet.

Think I should maybe take a peek at those old tractor brakes first, tho? Heck, I dunno, they were working okay when it was new. :>)

Hi Andy,

That's a '78 on the title. First brand new vehicle I ever bought. I switched it over to a 4x4 in about 1980/81 or thereabouts.

Completely rebuilt and repainted the cab/chassis in '88 updating to an '84. The running gear was all updated to a 1995 version in '95.

The only original pieces on the whole truck are the box and the power steering pump. :>)

So that truck has an IFS front-end under an 84 body on a 78 frame?

No,

I said that wrong, I guess.

I put in a new aluminum transfer case, an overdrive tranny (91 vintage) brand new engine with the serpentine setup and overhauled both boxes with all new gears and bearings.

Did it all in the spring of '95.

LOL!

Problem is, if and when I get 'er inside, I've got to lift that hatch and lock 'er open so's I can crawl inside her belly to work on the sheet metal that's gettin' a bit thin in spots.

Anybody got an oversized shoe horn they aren't using? :>)

Allan, if it were me, getting in there wouldn"t be too much of a problem, but I would need someone standing by to pull me back out.
