Looking at a JD 2150 w/loader and a IH 484 w/loader. Any opinions?

I agree with almost thing here... you have to look at all the 2 individual tractors before you toss in their heritage.

myself haveing been around both of these types of tractors some I tend to lean green. HOWEVER! I wouldnt take a dented-up, Welded-up, twisted wreck over a well cared for machine because of its color.

Its kinda like the cowboy lookin for a good cow. He reads where this cow has all this long pettagree from the best parents money can buy. He send his money with out looking because he "KNOWS HE's Buying the best" and goes to pick up the animal.
What he finds is a dwarf, albino that don't have udders.

Morral of the Story---> Sometimes what should be the best AINT!

I would do the same, test both out, and depending on fuel type (gas, diesel), 4x4, all the add-ons and extras, make sure everything works. Been down that road before.

start them up, drive them around, lift something with them, decide which one you like best.
