Was on a different site and the question was asked.
All of us have our favorites but..... ..

Did you ever have a particular tractor you absolutely hated? One you just wanted to sell for scrap or bury alive?

Mine would have been an old Farmall M we had with a loader, loose front end, and no power steering. Backed over my buddies car with it once by accident.

Friend of mine has a 2004 Kioti CK30 HST Yuppie Tractor. Nothing but an overgrown lawn mower! POS! He's already broken the backhoe in 3 places, the front end, the electrics cr@pped out, and it won't pull nothing! He has to be REAL careful what he does with the thing or it will shoot cr@ps! Or were we just talking REAL tractors? In that case it would be an old Alice D-15(?, might have been a 17) I used to run at work. ALWAYS falling apart and being worked on more than it worked!

I like all tractors. It is horses that I have hated some. The last one I owned made the mistake of kicking me one time too many. Eighteen months I tried to make a nice criter out of him. I started when he was seven months old. He liked to kick and hated little kids. He was very tastey.

In my case it was a Farmall 460 gas. Looked beautiful, turned out to a "Dupont overhaul". TA clutch problems, carb problems, hyd problems, and fasthitch problems. Destroyed 4 TA clutch"s in 5 years. Lost my shirt when it went in the auction, but I was so happy to see it gone I didn"t care.

Hey Slo,

I'm only 16, but I've run one that I would drive over with a monster truck if I could. A Massey 1085 it was. The balancer in the motor must have piled up, because that machine would turn you into a pile of jello after an afternoon on it. Plus the AC in it turned you into an icicle, and the cab smelled like a pig barn. It finally died this fall. Motor blew up. How could you see that one coming? ;-)

When I was young Dad bought a JDB at an auction without looking it over real well, and over the years it acquired the name Zero. He said it was the closest thing to nothing he had ever had,( and at one time he had an F12!) But we kept fixing it and using it and when we sold it at auction we broke even, I wish I had it now!

Mine would be a farmall cub. We actually farmed with the thing in the early 50"s. You know the old saying, "it wouldn"t pull the hat off your head". Lots of people love the things today, I will always wonder why. The super a, i can understand likeing them.

Somehow I don't see all that as the tractors fault. Maybe I missed something..... ....

Had a 330U was dirty, hot, and rough to ride. All 4 wheels hit the same bump at the same time. Every time we went to get on it we had to fix something first.

Doncha just hate it that they don't have a place to mount those west coast mirrors on those old girls, Bill? It would have to be either a John Deere 70 LP, or a John Deere A both I ended up with and ended up selling but they just drove me crazy gettin em ready. Ifn I coulda ever got the other two cylinders to run they might have made a tractor, but they just always sounded like they were running on two cylinders or something. Harley

Had a 2010 JD that was that kind of a tractor. My dad told me he would give it to me if I fixed it up.Of all the tractors I have ever owned ,that was a pure dud. Finally got it traded for a good Super C. Felt sorry for the man I traded with but just had to let it go.

Still have an 830 Case that I never learned to like. It's my only loader tractor or it would have been down the road long ago.
