It does not flood too often. Last year the remains of a hurricane came through the area. Two rivers are on part of the property and join near where the picture was taken. No problems in 2005. KEH

For the last few years the little woman and I ride the Blueridge parkway. And Ashville is one of the towns we hotel at. usually our second night.
We start with Deals Gap, what beautiful country.

Man, that is beautifull country. All ways had a feeling for the south since my mother came from Charlston SC.

Finally got it to post. Last year this bottom flooded up to where the people are walking. Later they harvested what was left of the corn. Bottom land is leased to local farmer. The estate has pasture, vineyards, and a winery. Corn was being harvested last week, 6 row JD, baling cornstalks with 4 x 5 Vermeer.
