The reason i put in on this board is because preatty much any body that has worked with tractors has worked with a small engine or two. I just took apart a Wisconsin 10HP model number TR-10D to get it unstuck after it locked up after running it for about five minuetes. I ran it yesterday when it locked up. and today took it apart and smoothed the rod and cap that had been fused togther from heat and then scored from goin back and forth. I then put it all back together and tryed to start using a belt hooked to another motor ( B&S 2hp). It wouldn't run so i took the plug out and did a spark test. Nothing happened!!!! i tryed several deffirent good plugs and i couln't get spark. What went wrong. I didn't mess with the electriacal system at all. It ran just yesterday. what went wrong. If any body has any ideas please let me know. Thanks alot!

Hey Deere, what you been up to? You might want to check and make sure that the wiring has a good ground.

If you didn't replace that rod, it will break after runing for a little while.Once they seize up and score the rod and crank, the rod will have stress cracks from heat buildup. It will break. Possibly causing more problems than you have now.

Maybe your flywheel key sheared off when the engine locked up. I would pull the flywheel off to check. I would also check why the engine seized up. Ron Mn.
