Yes, your home owner"s poloicy will cover the tractor. But if the worst happens, you will be fighting with the insurance company as far as what it is worth, just like when you wreck a car. I put a rider on my for a certain amount. I"m in Wis, don"t know if things are different else wher. Craig

I have a rider on my home owners policy with Grange insurance that covers my buildings and tractors. In the last year I have noticed that our homeowners insurance has almost doubled(I know this because my wife sticks it in my face as soon as she gets it). We asked our agent to find a solution or we would be forced to drop his policy. He suggested insurance for a blanket amount instead of repacement cost based on an itemized contents list. Our premium is reasonable now.

I have a seperate policy for my tractors. Fire and theft are an issue, but liability is my main concern. Tractor shows and while driving on the road is my concern, don't want to be sued and lose everything..... .....

I have a Farmowner's policy thru Farm Bureau (Nationwide) ; In addition to buildings tractors & some machinery are added on per unit. Tractor worth say $7000 costs about $15 a year-fire,theft, accidental run-off or roll-over. Liability is a separate rider. Gets costly.

I have Lunser Ins. They will cover your tractor in parades, in transit, etc. They will even cover tractors that are not restored. The only problem I have is that they will only insure tractors that are housed in a permanant bldg. I don't have enough shop yet to fit all my green iron in !!

My tractors are covered by my homeowners policy. I went with State Farm because my agent was able to get coverage for the tractors.
