Hi, I have an old Terra Track crawler loader. I read here that they were bought out in 57 by Case. I would like to re-ring and bearing this old girl. Can anyone help by letting me know what the motor is ? Model L256 serial # 219 It looks alot like the Case 310 crawler loader, but I wanted to be sure before ordering any parts.

Thanks!

I've owned and worked on several Terratracs. I had two GT-30s made around 1954. I've worked on a few of the earlier GT-25s. They all had Continental Red-Seal engines. My GT-30s both had the F-140 engines that were 140 cubic inches and put out about 25 drawbar horsepower. The GT-30 was pretty close to the Cletrac HG. Both crawlers used the same Clark transaxle, but the Cletrac used a Hercules engine instead of the Continental. When Case bought the Terractrac line, they started installing their own engines.

I have a Terraload'r, model L256, serial-227 made by the American tractor co. I bought pins and bushings for a case 310 which fit. I need a repair manual, etc. to figure out what year it is and then go from there. Can anybody help?

Thanks for the info. I put the old girl in the shop last night and started getting some things apart. It's a F-140. Casted right on the head. 25 hp ya say ? Is that with a strong wind behind you. I should call her stump puller.
Just on another note, I had a hard time finding information on this crawler for the longest time because the tag on the chassis say's Terra Loader and not Terratrac, but IM sure glad I found this great site.

Thanks for the reply

Larry if you go over to yahoo there is a site there under clubs and they have a terratrac club that you can get a bunch of info on. I have a GT-30 Terratrac and got all the info I needed to rebuild it also got a owners manual from one of the fellows on that site. Iam sure you can get the info you need there..
