I won a '06 Dodge Durango. Value $34k
Questions. Anybody know about dealer buyback?
Not too many options left to order and I don't want to spend more money. So I was deciding between the Hemi or 4-wheel drive. Which would be the better resale? It comes with the 4.7 engine.
Tried to talk them into a truck. Like it matters to a big corp. No luck.
Not getting till Jan-Feb, but didn't want because of taxes and a lot of '05s on sale now.

tlak to your tax man. I think if it is put in your nake you will have to pay taxes on ti when you receive it and agian when you sell it. If thye will hold off putting it in your name until you can sell it, you may save on taxes. Alos a dealer may be interested in trading on a less expensive rig without it ever having to be in your name.

Except for taxes, was pretty much... a good deal, right? Either way, use it in good health, and enjoy it.

The whole thing was Durango $34k, Gander mountain shopping spree $5k, Trip to Florida $6k. Thats the first time I did the math. 4 to Florida for 3 days snorkeling should be less than 6k. "Good deal", to be seen. Can"t afford even a 10k car, and don"t need a people hauler. Preliminary taxes appear to be 4 fed, 4 state, and 2.5 sales. So as long as I get it sold it will be a good deal.

For resale go with the 4 wheel drive. A lot of people will care if its 4wd or not versus the number of people that will care if its a hemi or not.

Congrats on the win, reminds me of the old song,"i'd like ta have a probl'em like thaatt" lol, anyway that would probbably be between you and the dealer, they will probably offer you half the sticker price though.anyway a win is a win.As far as hemi vs. 4wd and a smaller engine,i personally pick the 4wd because of versatility and fuel consumption.
