Where on a 1947 Farmall "M" is the Oil refill cap? In other words where do I add oil to the crank case

Check your operaters manual. That's what they are for..... ..... ...

If everyone had an operator's manual and all manuals answered every question, then there would be very little need for this forum Bob. Somehow you've lost the spirit of sharing information.

Many times I have bought a tractor-not knowing where something belongs, goes or whatever and have not had time to "get the manual". That is what I thought this forum was all about-to help each other out and not lecture. All due respect, Jack

I'm with Bob. How do you even know that you are low on oil ? No pressure ? If you don't know how to check / add oil, maybe the tractor should sit until the basics, controls, etc. get figured out. Best place to find that is to read the manual.

Hard to imagine that somebody just got an M because they are in desperate need of a tractor....
