My son has several cattle to feed, he is buying a cube feeder that will auger out the cubes with a 12 volt motor. The problem; the hopper holds 900#, he needs some way to count the revolutions of the auger so that he can tell from the tractor seat when he has despensed the right amount of feed. I'm hoping some of you fellows will have a answer to his problem. Thanks in advance.

I'd run it at a set RPM for a minute or two, then weigh or measure how much came out. Go by time on his watch rather than revs.
