I am replacing my connecting rods in my 1941 john deere b with insert bearing type rods. There are no numbers stamped on connecting rods, telling me which way faces up. So my question is which way does the bearing tab face. Down or up? On connecting rod. Thank You

Don"t know a thing about JDs, but does the oil lube to the small end help out?

Follow Delbert's advice- in fact, that very subject came up a month or two ago. Should be in archives on the JD board.

Theres a John Deere forum about half way down. I suspect that you can get more and better answers there.
