My Cockshutt 540 has a tranny that growls but actually performs quite well. Why does it growl? Is there anything easy that I can do?
Thanks

I imagine that after years of work its probably a gear set that is wore and then howls, or a bearing in the same shape,it may last for quite awhile yet, or who knows, depends on how hard you work it,No easy fix, maybe heavier gear grease,,,billy
