Does anyone else besides myself remember one of the truck mags having a guide on t-cases here awhile back. I thought one of the mags had a guide to the listings of numbers and what they were. I need to do some refering to find out if this dana pto add on kit that I found over the weekend will work on my buddies truck. Plus it would be nice to have the guide for when I go junkyard shopping.

In your case I need to know make and model of transfer case. I would guess by Dana PTO kit you are refering to a Chelsea PTO. The Book you need is a Chelsea PTO applications catalog. There are probably 100 different imput gears for the Popular 440 Series Chelsea PTO's . Chelsa PTO's are part of Paker hydraulics. Also some transfer cases require a lube pump to be added to the PTO. Questions?

I didn't realize this would be that complicated..... ..I will have to get back to ya on this. Do you know where I can get some t-case books on parts, products and identification applications?

Thanks: It will be Monday. Do you have a model number of the PTO? I could use that first. J.

A lot of the PTOs are pretty unaversal, as long as the gears are either stright or angled. I have 3 or 4 of them laying around in my shop. Been thinking about puting one on my 1980 chev just to run something just don't know what yet.

I have a guide somewhere. It also lists or trys to list all the combinations that will bolt up to one another. Engine, tranny, transfer case. If you're near a barnes & noble they sold something similar a few years back in the engine rebuilding section -- put out/published by a magazine.
