Any other way to ID a Super A? The Serial Number plate is missing on the left side of the clutch or transmission housing.

It has been converted to 12V.

Wayne: Jim is correct both A and Super A had serial number plate on left seat mount plate. Only the Super A1, and don't confuse that with Super AI, had serial number plate on clutch housing. Super A1 are all above serial number 356001 and there were only 1,957 of those ever built in 1954.

Thanks!

Found serial nuimber on seat bracket. I inherited four tractors and everyone has had the serial tag painted over.

Serial number plate should be on the seat mounting bracket. If you know it is an A, if it is a Super it will have touch control hyd. system.
