Thanks a mint guys, I had no idea that this tractor was worth anything. I wont convert it after all, I'm not that interested in keeping this particular model of allis so I might just sell it and look for something different, again many thanks for your input

If you MUST convert it, convert to diesel. Why would you want to switch from a relatively INEXPENSIVE fuel to gasoline? Gaqs tractors get hardly better hphr/gal than do propane burners, yet the fuel costs much more.

Your propane tractor will be fairly rare and the gas conversion will destroy any sort of resale value it will have.

Why not SELL that propane burner to a collector and use the procedes to acquire a 190xt or 200 DIESEL tractor? Doing that SHOULD net you money in the bank, whereas you are intending to SPEND money!

Yea, don't. Why do you want to convert it to gas? Propane is relatively inexpensive now compared to gas and burns cleaner and the motor will be cleaner. Yes it takes a little more work to fuel up and takes a little more specialized equipment but once you have that tackled, it is now big deal. Factory LP 190xt's are few and far between. We had one when I was a kid.

My 2 cents.

Wil

I agree,a XT 190 propane is a rare bird in my area. A propane fuel system will not gunk up like a gasoline system if it sets a lot, plus the 190XT gasoline tractor a relative owned was a terrible fuel hog. The tractor saw little use because of it's thirst for gasoline, even under a lighter load.
