diesel as kerosen

I have a kerosen heater in my barn would diesel work from my semi in place of the 3.59 a gallon kerosen . It is not a jet heater but a plane old house heater

My previous workplace was roofed but open. We burned diesel in the salamanders 'cause that's what was in the on-site tank. End of the day inside of noses would be black. Hadda be bad for us. Wm

Price Jet A-1 at the local airport. Around here even #1 diesel is too heavy to burn clean in lanterns or heaters. Sometimes the "winter diesel" is anything from #2, #1,mostly kerosene or blends of the above. Depndeds on your area of the country and your fuel supplier.

dont do it diesel will burn poorly with a lot of smoke and probably dadage your heater wick if it is that type

You can run strait #1 diesel in it, I have ran that in the wick type heaters with no problems.
