Hi,
I am fixing up a 56 or 57 300 utility (can't remember for sure, I think 57) and need some parts. I am going to need brake parts to rebuild both sides, radiator hoses, and an exhaust kit (If available) to start with. I will also gladly accept any technical help anyone has to offer - especially about the brakes. I have found a few items on e-bay but want to know where you think is the best place to purchase these parts. I talked to Jason @ Marshalls and asked him if they had an exhaust kit to fit my tractor and told him it goes UNDER the tractor like a car does. He said he had it and it included the muffler, clamps, and the rain cap. Last I knew, you shouldn't need a rain cap UNDER your tractor. I then e-mailed back and never got a reply! I want to avoid people like this! I want a good, reasonable priced place that knows what they are doing. Another thing-my hydralic high pressure line on the right side of the engine "jumps" like the pump may have something wrong with it-I changed all 7 gallons of fluid because there was a lot of water in it, but it still seems the same. Any ideas? I am also looking for another loader as I don't care for the design of mine and it only has one cylinder to move the bucket and I would like two. I am in Central IOWA. I am also going to list an auxillary fuel tank from my tractor on e-bay if anyone might be looking for one of those-it mounts behind the seat. Thanks in advance for your help and opinions! Sorry this was so long!! Kevin

I have bought some parts from this site, and some from Bates, in (Indiana). And some from a dealer in Lennon, Michigan, forgot the name. And from tractor shows! Never had a problem. Good luck, Easy.

I don't know about your 300 but I find (and I'm talking mostly IH) that when buying parts some online are inexpensive but a lot of them I can get at my Case IH dealer for same or sometimes even less. Alot of times freight kills the savings, and for a buck or two I would rather have them in my hand where I can take a good look and decide if I like the quality.

Hi, Kevin,
This site has some parts, I don't know how much for the 300 utility, but they are good in my eyes.
I just bought some parts for my 350 rowcrop from a place called STEEL WHEEL RANCH. They have a website steelwheelranch.com and I was really impressed with them. They specialize in old IH parts. Their phone is 785-548-7437. Skipper

Kevin, I live in southwest Iowa, don't have any real info on specific parts for a 300 utility, but I will warn you to be careful about buying parts on e-bay. Most of the sellers are good honest people, but quite a few are misrepresenting their items just to make a fast buck. The same holds true for many of the aftermarket warehouse parts stores, including several of the on-line dealers. The parts that most of them sell are Chinese and Taiwan rip-offs, and quite often do not fit well and in some cases do not fit at all. Your absolute first choice for parts will be just as "old" said, at your local Case-IH dealer. If he doesn't have what you need, you are pretty much on your own and it is "buyer beware".

e-bay is a poor place to buy tractor parts.I've been shafted several times on e-bay. RustyFarmall is right-
