Have any of you folks had any experience with the NorTrac Compact Tractors? Particularly the 20 HP 4 Wheel Drive? Any feedback on any of there models overall would be great though. I'm looking at buying one from:

Just my humble opinion; but with the kind of money you are willing to spend on a chinese tractor, why not watch the classified ads on this site and buy a great old american tractor? You can hang around on here with a lot of knowledgeable people if you have trouble with it too. Good luck whatever you do. Ben

Junk, I have seen them at the auctions brand new, barely run, smoke, rattle, some they pull started in 50 degree weather to get them to fire! Chinese and japanese quality is like night and day

Maybe I haven't been out of my shell, but around here haven't seen any used for sale at give away prices or otherwise. I would think some have been sold. Would like a cheapie 4WD to tinker with.

Made in China. Hard to get parts, no actual dealer, risky!!. But at half the cost it only lasts 3 years and falls apart. The New Holland, or JD or Agco will last for over 10 years under normal use.

You can buy whatever you want but buy from a dealer so you have a chance for parts and service . He will deliver . When I need a part I want to be able to throw the old one down on the counter .

I have no direct experience with these machines but a few years ago the Chinese exported a tractor called the Rhino to the US and folks that bought them complained to high heaven about faulty design (i.e.wheel bolts failed and no replacements) and lack of repair parts. Their value dropped so far folks could hardly give them away. If I was looking for a compact tractor, I wouldn't consider anything from China. There are enough name brand used compacts to choose from without buying "unknowns".( Not that they are the epitomy of reliablility, but you can get parts for them.) Just m pinion, but it's your $'s.

I believe they are a "JINMA" tractor made in China. Do a search for Jinma or check tractorbynet.com forums. No personal experience , except seeing they have poor resale value compared to the main brands.

These are made in China and I have no idea where you may get parts if you have a problem. Thye are the same tractor that is sold under 50 different names. If you buy a container full you can put your name on them. Personally I wouldn't give half what they want for them but thats me not you.
Good luck whatever you decide.

Your asking this queston on the wrong forum. You need to go to the Chinese tractor owners forum. They know about Chinese tractors there. I bought a Chinese tractor 8 years ago its been great. Love that deisel,P/S,4wd,and live power. I like my antique tractors. But I like a tractor I don't have to work on every time I use it because its 50 years old and wore out.Parts have not been any problem yet.Resale? I did not buy it to resell. Ya I have a Rhino and the wheels have not fell off yet.
