(HELP) I have a 1941 B, It has two different rods in it one is a babited rod and the other one has inserts, the numbers on the insert rod have been ground off can anyone tell me what they might be.The two rods look exactly the same, The one with the babit is a B1770R. THANKS, JOHN

You can also have the babbit ones machined to accept inserts. If you are using a worn crank you are going to have better luck with babbit ones.

Insert rod is from a 50 of course. Get a matched pair and forget about the babit. If you had the parts and service manual all this info is in plain view. Do your self a favour and save time, agrivation and money. Call 1-800-522-7448.
