I'm looking for an ignition module/coil for a Jonsered Model 52E chainsaw. I've been told these parts are no longer available from the Mfr. Anyone know of a local Jonsered repair shop that might have some NOS parts or someone that might be parting a 52E out? Thanks!

Best Saw EVER!!! Jonsered Chain Saw in reply to Blksmok, 11-16-2005 07:55:31
My dad still has his he bought in 1970 something. Says he carried it to job sites many years cutting railroad ties to jack up cranes when he was all over. I remember him using it when I was 4 in TN at my grandparents house cutting fire wood. I am 23 now and it is still going. Cut down trees at our house after some wind a couple months ago. Its a shame to hear that parts are getting hard to find. Seems like the best stuff made becomes obsolete.

Try looking at a Husquvarna dealer,as they are identical saws.

They are now, but they were not then.

Supergrumpy....Thanks. I got a couple of leads from that site. Finding these parts is like a scavenger hunt, probably will end up buying a new saw for a simple obsolete part.
