Hi Guys,

Bitter cold here today after a long warm fall. 26 degrees and a stiff 30 knot wind cuts right thru a feller.

Been tinkerin' with my latest tired, old tractor and finally got the hydro dump adjusted this morning. Sure makes a difference in the way the tractor reacts. :>)

Now, I gotta get those idiot lights working and figure out a way mount the fenders and still keep the loader mounted too.

However, I'm sure toying with the idea of haulin' the thing back up here to the hills and the nice warm garage to continue. Yep, think I'm turning into an old wimp. :>(

Hope you all had a good day too.

Allan

CG,

It's a Hydro70. They are the same size as the rowcrop 656, 666, 686, etc.

Somebody, somewhere has swapped out those rear tires to the little 13.6 X 38s. Looks kinda puny don't it? :>)

Mine is an Industrial I-2405B, yellow. Got it rigged up to run a round baler. A work horse! I like your loader set-up. Pretty neat! Stay sweet, stay warm! cowgirl

Hi Ed,

See there; always did say you were a heck of a lot smarter than I.

Darned heated shop is exactly three steps from my desk. Tractor is 'bout a million miles out in the country and sets out in the elements.

Now, where's the logic in that goofy arrangement anyway? :>(

Don't know if non original would interest you but I have a set of shop built flat top fenders that came on one of the 560 gassers I have . It was used by a cannery operation and are pretty rugged built. They have the extensions on the bottom with 4 bolt mount up and then extend about 30 inches tall and then a 90 degree bend over the wheels about a foot out. I've just never had the heart to throw them away as it took a fair amount of work to fab these things. You can have them if you can get them to ya somehow. Migraine

Hi Buddy!

Thanks again. But, I've got the factory fenders for it. It is just that the silly loader mounts right where the things need to bolt to the axles.

Like the Vet says, I just gotta 'construct' a different mounting. It's just another of my little play toys that I'm trying to save. :>)

Yep,

I watch 'em like a hawk.

We changed over to underground at the other place years ago. It surprised me how much you have to "think" around those darned overheads.

Boy Doog,

You said a mouthful! Darned thing hasn't been out there a full week yet and I've already put the second tankful of fuel in her this afternoon.

Those darned gassers are really thirsty! But still and all, it's kinda nice the way they pop right off when cold. :>)

Boy I sure hear you on that cold today. Went to an auction and stood in the wind all day. Felt sorry for an old stuck C, so I bought it. Probably over payed, but it was just sitting there asking to be saved. Now I've got me a winter project as well. David

I'll have to agree with you there. Now I've got the f-12 done a b in about 250 pieces stung across the shop on its way to being restored and a c on the way. For a JD family I'm sure breaking the mold. This was quite an auction today. He had International stuff piled everywhere. Nothing I really needed, except a generator for the b. The auctioneer didn't let me have choice out of the whole pile so I got approximately 20 various generators for $25. What am I going to do with 20 generators?

I have made brakets that go on the loader arms tha will take the stock fenders out of a pice of 3/8 plate and a coulpe 45degeree gussets and some bolts only raise the fender up a littel over the stock setting .
