Old Gas In Carburetor

Is there any solvent or something like gum out that ya can spray into the gas line inlet or thru the carb. air intake of a carburetor to clean out the stale gas in a carb. thats been setting for a long time? Other than taking the carb. apart..

Nope plus if you do so and it has plastic parts in it they will be gone after doing so. You will have to remove and rebuild it to do it right.

No. If the carb has been sitting for a long time..the liquid gas is gone. What is left is a varnish that coats the inside. If this varnish is in the small orifices, then it has to be cleaned out manually. Carb has to come apart.

If you can start it and run it, then you can put in a gas additive like Techron or B-12 into the fuel and that will clean it out. If it won't start..then you're back to pulling the carb apart.
