I have a TO-35 model 1955,serial #141383. The tractor was metallic gray & red, while cleaning it I have found dark green paint. Does anyone know if green was an original paint scheme??

OK..Fergie TO35 should be grey tin and green chassis. There is article on one in the Jul/Aug 05 issue of "Antique Power" mag. Also, go to Fergie board and do a search there. I got a late '55 that has been repainted red chassis but there is green in on some parts. I think there are lots of parts from other tractors on it. When the name was changed to Massey-Ferguson, the color was red tin and flint grey chassis.

I've got my Grandads 60 TO35, it's metallic grey and red. I've had people tell me that's the wrong color, should be green and red, I know they had green and red, but don't know the years. Mine has been this color since I've known it, about 1960, it has MHF casting #s on some of the pieces. It's the deluxe model, LPTO and so on. My Dad had it rebuilt but never repainted, the guys on the MF board will help. John

Just saw a thing on RFD TV and they had a ferg. on that was green and gray. They said there was 3 years they did that. It was a very dark green almost army green.

You could check on the MF board, But I'm sure Massey never used green paint. Also maybe check tractor Photos?
