What do these tires fit?

I am looking for some used tires for Big Lenny, my new Farmall H. I think either size 11.2X38 or 12.4X38 are appropriate. Anyways, what other tractors besides a Farmall H do they fit?

The reason I want to know is so if they also fit a JD H, for example, I can ask my neighbor if he has any old ones around.

I'm willing to pay for them. Just don't want new ones at this point.

If this is the H with the belly mower and you're going to leave it on there I wouldn't go any larger than the 12.4's and I'd prefer the 11.2s since going larger will speed up your ground speed.

I'm planning on selling the belly mower. I already have one on the C, don't need another one - only takes me an hour to mow as it is.

Not real fussy about the tire size, as long as both sides are the same ;)

The JD H used a smaller tire, perhaps a 32" size.

I have 85% tread on a pair of 13.6x38 still mounted on H rims with cast iron centers. Fronts are same age. Tractor is being junked.

Most JD Hs had a 7.5 or 9-32 unless high crop or rims have been changed to another size. Get a measure on your rim widths and then look at some tire charts and you will have a better idea of what others would fit well.

You can also use 13.6X38s. Shoot as far as looking for them Olivers used them a lot on the 77s and 88 and the 770,880 and a few others. Also a lot of the farmalls used that size and a lot of JDs did also.

John Deere B maybe, I don't know about the H. The 11.2 and 12.4x38 were and are pretty common to a variety of different tractors.

Thanks guys! in reply to RustyFarmall, 11-09-2005 10:57:11
I thought of this yesterday when I was in a customers yard and saw pretty decent (by my standard) tires against the wall. A lot of these were replaced years back as they were starting to weather checked. I don't care if they are weather checked or even if they match. The ones on Lenny now have large cracks 1/2" and bigger in them. That alone wouldn't bother me, but I want the calcium out of the tires, and I might as well put on something a little better while doing it.

Thanks again.
Jay
