Ted, IMO the best thing you can do tuning up your 360 is put a Pertronix Ignitor electronic ign conversion in your distributor instead of another set of points. I made the conversion a couple years ago on my '73 390. Cost about $80 back then. Couldn't keep points in it before I made the switch. They just don't make points like they used to.

something to watch for is the oil pump will start dragging and wear the gear on the distribitor allowing the timing to change also wears out the timing chain. Tore my 68 clear apart to find this out. still in pieces and will be sold that way

Ted, don't have my truck manual handy, but tune up on Ford 360 should be the same as 390, same engine just difference in cubic inch. Same spec.s for both auto and standard trans. HTH

Timing----- - 6 degrees BTDC
Plug gap----- .034
point gap---- .017
